School Workshop

Approaches to new supercomputer architectures in the post-Moore’s law era

11
December 2017

During the school-workshop the reports will be presented that will tell about methods for increasing the efficiency of modern supercomputers and about the approaches to new architectures in the situation of slowing-down in microprocessor development when the previously valid Moore’s law does not describe the real progress in their performance.

In talks and discussions, we will attempt to answer the following questions:
What types of problems are being solved by supercomputers today?
How can we increase the efficiency of supercomputer usage?
What trends will shape high performance computing in near future?
Is it possible to use hardware designed in Russia for efficient supercomputers?
